Numerous charges filed in connection with an investigation in Calmar

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office and Calmar Police Department investigated a disturbance that took place in Calmar around 4:15 Thursday morning involving shots fired . Nobody was injured during the incident.
19-year-old Fahad Abukar of Rochester was arrested and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail on charges of class C felony burglary, class C felony intimidation with a dangerous weapon, class D felony control of a firearm by a felon, aggravated misdemeanor carrying weapons, aggravated misdemeanor reckless use of a firearm and operating a vehicle while under the influence.
17-year-old Daniel Burt-Vasquez of Rochester was referred to juvenile court services for class D felony going armed with intent, aggravated misdemeanor carrying a weapon and aggravated misdemeanor assault with a dangerous weapon.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says there is no ongoing threat to the public as both suspects are in custody.
