Mr. Answer Person says: "A car collided with a utility pole near Pulpit Rock Brewing Co. at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Painter Street in Decorah. The pole fell and the transformer on it was damaged when it hit the ground. Alliant Energy restored power to all but three of the 1,116 customers affected within 30 minutes of the outage."
