Letter to the Editor: Safety should be the only consideration when picking a site for a new elementary school

"Some think there are a lot of considerations regarding the proposed new elementary school, but I find that incredible for a community which has always prized the safety of their children.

There is only one main consideration -- the safety of young children amidst very unsafe conditions because of traffic from inexperienced drivers in a very contained environment. There might be secondary and tertiary concerns but they are so far down the line in priority that I find it surprising there is even a discussion and I find it reprehensible that school officials continue to push an agenda that considers something other than the real priority of keeping the children safe."
