Decorah resident awarded $5,000 State Fair scholarship

A Decorah resident has been named the recipient of a $5,000 scholarship from the Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement.

Daiton Tietz, the daughter of Galen and Melanie Tietz of Decorah, was presented the scholarship during the Iowa State Fair. Proceeds from the Iowa State Fair's Sale of Champions are used to fund the scholarships. Daiton Tietz's scholarship was funded through the Mark Pearson Memorial Scholarship fund.
