ArtHaus welcomes Lauren Bonney as Interim Director

Decorah artist Lauren Bonney has been hired as interim director of ArtHaus during the maternity leave of current Executive Director Shannon Dallenbach Durbin.

"Lauren's employment will help prevent a gap in leadership at ArtHaus and keep the current schedule of classes and events running smoothly," says Dallenbach Durbin.

Bonney is originally from Lansing, Michigan.  She now lives in Decorah with her husband John Kraus, and her daughter Juniper.  Bonney had a solo show "The Stories We Tell" last winter at ArtHaus and taught a class on Disney inspired drawing.  She is also the illustrator of the ArtHaus Winneshiek County Coloring Book.

Bonney's employment is supported by an operational grant acquired by the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Arts Fund.
