Accident injures Decorah man

Decorah Police say an accident on College Drive Tuesday afternoon caused $10,000 in damages.

Police say 91-year-old Francis Peterson of Decorah struck the rear of a car on the College Drive bridge, setting off the airbag in his vehicle and causing minor injuries to Peterson.  He was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center by private vehicle.

No ticket was issued in the accident, although the police officer said Peterson was "operating a vehicle in a reckless, erratic, careless and negligent manner."
