September 4th set as date for Menards rezoning request

The Decorah City Council has set September 4th as the date for a public hearing on Menards' request to rezone property in Freeport.
The site at 1780 Old Stage Road is proposed to be changed to C-4 shopping center commercial. The Decorah Planning & Zoning Commission recently voted 4-3 to recommend denying the zoning change.
The public hearing is the chance for the public to comment on the rezoning action. The actual city council vote on the question will NOT be held September 4th.
