Letter to the Editor: Thank you, Planning & Zoning Commission, for voting against the Menards floodplain rezoning request

"We want to thank the members of the Decorah Planning and Zoning Commission.  First we want to thank them for the time and energy they devote to study and discernment of tough issues, always keeping as their goal the greatest good for all.  Secondly we want to thank them for their courage in voting to reject rezoning the floodplain to shopping center commercial; their vote protects the integrity of the flood plain and respects the needs of Nature and our community."
