Ossian man accused of assault

Just before 8:00 Thursday night the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office received a call from Ossian.  When deputies arrived at the address, they arrested 59-year-old Leon Herold of Ossian.  He was charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Herold was transported to the Winneshiek County Jail, where he is being held, pending a court appearance.
