Decorah School Superintendent Michael Haluska announces his retirement after the 2018-19 school year

At an open meeting with the Decorah Community Schools staff Thursday morning, Superintendent Mike Haluska announced the 2018-19 school year will be his last and that he will be retiring, effective June 30th, 2019. The official notice of retirement will be submitted to the District's Board of Education at the September meeting.

Haluska is in his 12th year with the Decorah Schools, having come from the Jefferson-Scranton Community School District in July 2007.
