Alliant Energy crews on Friday replaced some faulty equipment on the southeast side of Decorah. In order to do the project, Alliant had to shut off electricity to a few hundred customers on the southeast side of Decorah for two and a half hours. The affected area involved only residential customers along Montgomery Street, Rural Avenue, Sanford Street, Maiden Lane and some neighboring streets.
Alliant s says it did some switching and re-routing to continue to serve industrial customers in the area and to minimize the number of affected residential customers.
