Absentee ballots now available for the Special NICC Election

Absentee balloting has begun for the Special NICC Election that will be held September 11th.

Absentee ballots can be cast in the Winneshiek County Auditor's office during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.), or through the mail.  Voters are reminded of changes to State Election Laws that now require identification when voting.

Only residents of Decorah, North Winn, and South Winn School Districts can vote through the Winneshiek County Auditor's Office. Residents in other school districts (Howard, Turkey Valley, Postville, etc.) need to contact the County Auditor that controls their elections to request a ballot.
