Winneshiek County's Interim Tourism Director leaves for a different job

The Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau is in the process of looking for a permanent Director.  In the meantime, its Interim Director is leaving to take a job at Upper Iowa University.

Detra Dettmann was born and raised in northern Winneshiek County, north of Kendallville, on a small dairy and hog farm.  After earning two degrees in Wildlife Biology at Iowa State University, she spent 25 years in SE Iowa.  In 2017 she and her family returned to Winneshiek County.

Dettmann took the WCCVB Interim Director position on July 1st.
