Deer vs. car collision causes damage to two vehicles

The Decorah Police Department responded to an accident involving a deer and two vehicles Wednesday afternoon.
47-year-old Julie Drtina of Cresco was eastbound on Highway 9 at 1:00 on Wednesday afternoon when she struck a deer that ran into the roadway. The deer was then propelled into the westbound lanes and was struck by 58-year-old Dionne Schoh of Caledonia, MN. Drtina's 2007 Cadillac Escalade sustained $6,000 of damage and Schoh's 2017 Subaru Forester had $300 of damage. Neither driver was injured.
