Decorah native Rob Sand brings his campaign for Iowa State Auditor home

State Auditor candidate Rob Sand got a chance to return to his native Decorah over the weekend, but also did some campaigning.

In an appearance at the Winneshiek County Democratic Party's headquarters on Water Street, Sand said he has been spending his time talking to people at convenience stores and barber shops and cafes around the state.

In Decorah, Sand stressed that a good public figure has to be "willing to serve everyone."  He says state officials should put the good of the public above the good of the party.

Sand was accompanied by his former boss, Iowa State Attorney Tom Miller, who is seeking his 11th term in office.
