Opening ceremony for Nordic Fest kicks off with perfect weather

As usual, a large crowd gathered Thursday night to kick off the opening ceremony of the 52nd annual Nordic Fest. The crowd enjoyed performances by the Luren Singers, Nordic Dancers, and they were introduced to the flag recipient Midge Kjome and grand marshal Julie Shockey Trytten.
