The driveway in front of the Decorah Fire Station needs to be replaced, according to firefighters and city officials.
The city has gotten a cost estimate of $32,000 to replace a 60 foot by 85 foot section of the driveway with seven inches of concrete. Other options could push the combined cost of repairs to $49,400. A lesser move would fix the worst part of the driveway for $10,000.
Members of the city's Public Safety Committee discussed the issue earlier this week, but haven't come to a decision yet.
