Tourism Office seeks volunteers for Iowa State Fair

The Winneshiek County Convention & Visitors Bureau is looking for additional volunteers to fill time slots at the WCCVB Winneshiek County tourism booth at the Iowa State Fair, which runs August 9th through August 19th.  More than 40 volunteers are needed to staff the booth in the air conditioned Varied Industries Building, which attracts nearly one million fairgoers each year.

Volunteers must be familiar with and have a passion for Winneshiek County, and have general knowledge of area businesses and attractions. Each volunteer shift requires two people.  Volunteers typically work with a spouse, friend, family member, or co-worker. As an incentive, volunteers receive free tickets into the fair plus one night's free lodging.
 
Available shifts include:
Thursday, August 9: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 pm
Saturday, August 11: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 pm
Saturday, August 11: 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Sunday, August 12: 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Monday, August 13: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 pm
Tuesday, August 14: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 pm
Wednesday, August 15: 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Saturday, August 18: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 pm
Sunday, August 19: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 pm
Sunday, August 19:3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
