Sheriff's Office and Decorah Police warn about a man asking for money

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office and the Decorah Police Department are notifying the public that a man has been going to area churches and recently to a farm asking for money. 

There have been multiple reports that this subject is verbally persistent.  Other reports suggest the man is possibly asking for money based on false pretenses.

Both offices say they are notifying the public for information purposes only.
