Decorah Police say no attempted abduction

The Decorah Police Department is trying to put to rest reports of a child abduction attempt.

Police investigated a Facebook post by a woman who claimed there had been a child abduction attempt at Wal-Mart.  Police say they contacted the woman and investigated her claim.  A statement by Decorah Police says, "We want the public to be aware that no abduction or possible abduction case recently occurred."
