Supporters of Winneshiek County Fair recognized

This is the 100th anniversary of the Winneshiek County Agricultural Association--the group which created the Winneshiek County Fair.

It's also the 100th anniversary of the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Program.  Iowa State Vice President for Extension and Outreach John Lawrence visited Decorah Tuesday to recognize the local Extension Office and its work.

Lawrence presented a 100th anniversary plaque to the Winneshiek County Extension Council and recognized its current members--Kathy Moen, Norbert Lovstuen, Bob Hemesath, Jessica Rediske, Delbert Smith, Pat Courtney, Dave Wise, Katie Prochaska and Kevin Lansing.

Also being recognized Tuesday were Kritsi Berge as Volunteer of the Year and United Beverage and manager Craig Frana for "Friend of the Fair."
