Downtown Decorah block of Water Street will be closed for two weeks

The 300 block of West Water Street will be closed through Friday, July 20th, as contractors put in the water and sewer taps for the new Viking State Bank building.

The work is scheduled to be completed well before Nordic Fest.

Speaking of Nordic Fest, the Fest's board has voted to delay closing Water Street until noon on Thursday, July 26th. Some other areas, including the Courthouse Square, will still close at 6:00 that morning.
