Cresco man in motorcycle accident on Sunday on Pole Line Road

61-year-old Lonnie Steenhard of Cresco was traveling westbound on Pole Line Road on Sunday and entered a left hand curve. Steenhard lost control, collided with the metal guardrail causing Steenhard to be thrown from the motorcycle.

Steenhard sustained significant but non-life threatening injuries and was airlifted to Mayo. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Winneshiek Medical Center and the Decorah Fire Department. The accident caused $5,000 worth of damage.
