Grant to City of Decorah will pay for fire hydrant flags

The flags that get attached to fire hydrants in Decorah help Decorah firefighters to find a fire hydrant when lots of snow is on the ground.
The City of Decorah has received a $1,000 grant from the Iowa Community Assurance Pool, or "ICAP." ICAP is a group self-insurance program for Iowa public entities which provides property and casualty coverage to nearly 800 Iowa governments.
The $1,000 grant to Decorah will be used to buy new fire hydrant flags to be installed through the city.
