Accident on Mechanic Street causes $6,000 in damages

Decorah Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Mechanic Street around 3:30 Friday afternoon.

40-year-old John Mann of Decorah stopped at the stop sign on Frances Street, but then pulled onto Mechanic Street, into the path of a car driven by 80-year-old Barbara Hellen of Ridgeway.

Neither driver was injured.  The accident caused $6,000 in damages.  Mann was ticketed for Failure to Yield the Right-of-way.
