No surprise--June in Decorah was hot and wet

Decorah meteorologist Richard Bernatz is confirming what everyone in Decorah already suspected--June weather in Decorah was hot and rainy.

Bernatz has crunched the numbers for Decorah and learned that the daily average temperature was 72.4 degrees, which is 4.3 degrees above normal.  Compared with June 2018, 10 Junes were warmer and 113 Junes were cooler out of the 124 Junes for which records have been kept.

The total precipitation in Decorah was 8.33 inches in June, which was 3.61 inches more than average.  10 Junes were wetter and 113 were drier out of the years for which records have been kept.  For the last 12 months, precipitation in Decorah is 5.11 inches above average.
