Weekend accident causes $10,000 in damages

Decorah Police were called to an accident on 5th Avenue shortly before 2:00 Saturday afternoon.

Police say 20-year-old Jae Creger turned left without looking for oncoming traffic, turning directly into the path of a car driven by 19-year-old Taylor Burns of Monroe, Iowa.  Neither driver was injured, but each car suffered $5,000 in damages.  Creger was ticketed for failure to yield the right-of-way on making a left turn.
