Accident causes $7,500 in damages

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office reports two motorists were involved in an accident on Pole Line Road Sunday afternoon.

58-year-old Dean Quandahl of Cresco was westbound on Pole Line Road and started to slow down to turn. 59-year-old Gerardo Rosales-Aguilar of Cresco was behind Quandahl and struck the back end of his 2003 truck, causing $7,500 of damage. Quandahl was transported by private vehicle to the Cresco Hospital, and Rosales-Aguilar was cited for failure to stop in a clear assured distance.
