If you're looking to purchase fireworks for the upcoming July 4th holiday, you have more options than ever before in Decorah. Three fireworks retailers have set up temporary tents around Decorah and are open for business now through July 4th.

Back for their 2nd year in a row, Bellino Fireworks has a tent set up in the parking lot of Centrum Plaza near McDonald's. Employee Noah Byrnes says business has been good so far and attributes their high customer volume to their location and "Buy 1, get 3 free" specials.

Two other retailers have set up tents in Decorah: Decorah Fireworks at the Cedar Valley Auction Company on Highway 9 east of the Decorah Airport and Jake's Fireworks in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Decorah Fireworks Employee Jaden Hegtvedt says evenings and weekends have been the busiest times at the fireworks tent so far. She says people are especially  interested in the big boxes of fireworks intended to be used during finales of private fireworks shows.

Jake's Fireworks has set up a tent in the Walmart parking lot, but has not opened as of 4:00 p.m. Wednesday.  No fireworks have been delivered to the location.  decorahnews.com contacted Jake's headquarters in Davenport, but has not yet gotten a comment on the status of the Decorah location.
