Letter to the Editor: Jim Fritz's letter is "just another rant"

"Recently my brother, Dennis, wrote a Letter to the Editor regarding the proposed painting of the Decorah Walmart.  Quite frankly, I could care less, however, Jim Fritz seems to have turned this into a soapbox on floodplains and hydraulics.

Dear Mr. Fritz, I know you were a great band director, but when did you become an expert on hydraulics?  I worked on hydraulics on the Upper Iowa River and tributaries for 35 years.  I failed to see how the color of the Decorah Walmart affects river flow, floodplains, or even how this got dragged into this discussion.  Just another rant?  Maybe we should start worrying about other stuff in this town, like our "crappy" streets--get it?"
