Work continues on the reroofing of the Courthouse
Winneshiek County supervisors have given their blessing to another $19,416 in repair work to the Winneshiek County Courthouse.
The additional work will involve removing galvanized ductwork in the attic of the courthouse, as well as installing new ducts to carry away rainwater from the roof. Both projects were approved Thursday in part because roofing crews are working to re-roof the Courthouse and county officials wanted the work done before they left.
While approving the nearly $20,000 in additional work, supervisors noted that their original budget for the project was $250,000 and the low bid on the project came in at $207,000.
