A new home furnishing store will open in Decorah

Decorah is getting a new furniture store.

Neighborhood Closet of Waverly is changing its name to "Neighborhood Home Store" and opening in July in the former Latham Furniture location on Short Street in Decorah.

Company President and Owner Matthew Schneider says the Decorah location will be the company's fourth Neighborhood Home store, with other locations in West Union, Waverly and Evansdale.  The stores were voted "#1 Furniture Store" in the 2017 Waterloo/Cedar Falls "Best of the Best" contest.

The Decorah store will be managed by Jake Burns, who has been with the company for eight years.
