Decorah will have not one, but two options for purchasing fireworks this year

Last year's change in Iowa legislation removing the statewide ban of fireworks sales opened up the doors for companies to expand their sales into Iowa. Decorah City Manager Chad Bird says the city has received two applications to sell fireworks in Decorah this year.

Back for the second year in a row, Bellino Fireworks of Omaha, Nebraska will be setting up a tent in the Centrum Plaza parking lot.  In addition, Jake's Fireworks of Davenport will have a tent set up in the Walmart parking lot. Both vendors will begin selling fireworks in late June and will be open for business through July 4th.
