Cresco man charged with criminal mischief while in the Winneshiek County Jail

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office reports on Monday at 6:30 p.m., while incarcerated in the Winneshiek County Jail, 31-year-old Samuel Melver of Cresco intentionally tried to flush his jail issued uniform down the toilet. Melver also urinated all over his cell block destroying his mattress and pillow. Melver was cited for criminal mischief 5th degree.
