Decorah Community Food Pantry begins its new identity

The Decorah Community Food Pantry started in 1996 as a ministry of First Lutheran Church.  Last year, to reflect its broad community participation, the group incorporated as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and added "Community" to its name.

Food Pantry volunteers and board members come from all over Decorah and surrounding communities, so the new name seemed appropriate.  Participants share a passion for working to eradicate hunger and food-access issues in our Community.

The recently-formed group has created a new logo and launched a new website designed by Steve Zittergruen.  www.decorahpantry.org has information about the Food Pantry's mission, registration process, times and days open, volunteering and donating.
