Iowa's new license plates are now being issued in Winneshiek County

The new Iowa license plate design Iowans voted on last August is now available in Winneshiek County.

The new "City and Country Reboot" design is intended to provide an updated representation of Iowa's urban and rural attributes. According to the Des Moines Register, "The blue boarder along the top profiles city and country images and the bottom green boarder is intended to evoke growth, nature, and wellness."

The new license plates replace the white, gray and blue Iowa plates that have been issued since January 1997.
