It was a busy weekend for Winneshiek County Law Enforcement

On Saturday at approximately 2:30 p.m., 57-year-old Timothy Morris of Onalaska, WI was eastbound on Canoe Ridge Road on his 2001 Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Morris lost control where the pavement turned to gravel, entered the ditch, and overturned. A female passenger was thrown from the motorcycle and required ambulance transportation to Winneshiek Medical Center. This accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.

On Saturday at approximately 3:00 p.m., 22-year-old Amber Cole of Shell Rock was eastbound on Town Line Road when she crossed the center line, lost control of her vehicle, entered the north ditch, rolled several times, causing an estimated $15,000 of damage to her vehicle. Cole was transported by ambulance to Winneshiek Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. The Iowa State Patrol cited Cole for failure to maintain control. The accident remains under investigation and other charges are pending. The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Iowa State Patrol, Decorah Fire Department and Winneshiek Medical Center.

On Saturday afternoon, Winneshiek County Deputies responded to a vehicle on its side in the ditch on West Ravine Road in Bluffton. Upon investigation, 23-year-old Phillip Mashek of Cresco was arrested and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail for operating while under the influence. No injuries were reported.

On Saturday, Winneshiek County Deputies responded to a fight in progress at a residence in Castalia. Upon investigation, 35-year-old Brandon Brown of Elkader was arrested for Willful Injury-Cauring Bodily Injurty and was transported to the Winneshiek County Jail.  

On Sunday, Winneshiek County Deputies responded to a fight in progress on Main Street in Ossian. Upon investigation, 23-year-old Jorge Cardona of Ossian was arrested and transported to the Winneshiek County Jail for assault on two individuals.  

On Sunday at approximately 10:00 p.m., Winneshiek County Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on River Road near 260th Street in Decorah. Upon investigation, a vehicle was found in the ditch. The driver, 60-year-old Gary Rausch of Decorah, refused medical treatment. Rausch was arrested and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail for operating while under the influence.  

On Monday, Winneshiek County Deputies were called to a residence near Ridgeway. Upon arrival, Deputies found property scattered throughout the yard and driveway. 33-year-old Ronald Still of Ridgeway was arrested and transported to the Winneshiek County Jail for Aggravated Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief.
