The former Toppling Goliath taproom building on College Drive has reopened.
"TGII" is now owned by Chris & Troy Dixon, with their daughter, Jordyn, as manager. The new business will have 20 beers on tap, including many Toppling Goliath beers and PIVO beers, but also beers from five other Iowa breweries.
In addition, the business will carry full bottles and cans of wines from several different labels. TGII will also carry hard cider from Jacked Cider House, a product of Crimson Sunset Cidery in Cascade, Iowa. The beverage has just two ingredients--local apples and local honey. Some of the cider varieties have a third ingredient--100 percent real fruit.
The Dixons have done a lot of work to remodel the interior of the building, although the exterior patio area remains intact. The new business has additional seating inside, with a number of tables being added.
