Accident does $5,500 in damages

A Lanesboro man has been ticketed following a two-vehicle accident on Mill Street at West Main Street Wednesday.

Decorah Police say 19-year-old Jared Kelly failed to obey the stop sign on Main Street and entered the Mill Street intersection, hitting a car driven by 18-year-old Megan Pope of Decorah.  Pope was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center by private vehicle.  Kelly was ticketed for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign and Yield the Right-of-Way.  The accident did a total of $5,500 in damages.
