Two Vacation Bible School programs are making plans for this summer in Decorah.
First Lutheran Church's VBS is called "AMPED" and will be held starting Monday, June 4th.
The 17th Annual Community Vacation Bible Camp sponsored by St. Benedict's, Stone Ridge, Decorah Covenant and Washington Prairie Church will start Tuesday, June 5th, at Stone Ridge Church. This year's program is called "Shipwrecked."
First Lutheran Church's "AMPED" welcomes students from the Decorah area to play, create, sing, and much more, all while learning about following Jesus. A family kick-off will be held at the church at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 4th, with VBS held from 8:30 a.m. until noon Tuesday through Friday of that week. "AMPED" is open to children 4 years old through 5th grade. The cost for VBS is $25 for the first student in each family and $10 for each additional student per family. Camperships are available for students unable to pay the $25 registration fee. Payments can be sent to the church or dropped off they first day of VBS. Parents are invited to a closing program at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 7th.

The Community VBS "Shipwrecked" will run from 9:00 a.m. until noon Tuesday through Friday, June 5th-8th, at Stone Ridge Community Church, 1111 Montgomery St., Decorah. Volunteers (5th grade-adult) are needed for Games, Drama, Imagination Station-Action activities, Kid Vid Cinema, Crew Leaders, Registration, Decorating, Photography. Campers are preschool, 4-5 yrs. through kids going into 4th grade. The cost is $20, includes a t-shirt & CD.
