Decorah area projects receive "Green Communities" grants from Rockwell Collins

Rockwell Collins has announced the recipients of this year's "Green Communities" grants, including four Decorah area recipients.

The program helps fund environmental projects in communities that Rockwell Collins operates in, including Decorah.  50 grants for a total of $82,500 are being awarded in 2018.

Grants awarded through Rockwell Collins's Decorah location are Mabel Steam Engine Grounds canopy lighting; tree planting for the new Decorah Dog Park; Dry Run Creek outdoor classroom for the Decorah School District and pollinator trees at Rockwell Collins and Winneshiek County parklands.
