Yahoo!News profiles Decorah's Kayla Koether

Yahoo!News is profiling Iowa House District 55 candidate Kayla Koether in an article about women running for offices in rural areas of the United States.

The article describes how Koether attended a "VoteRunLead" training session last year, and knew she wanted to run for the state legislature, telling Yahoo!, "I knew the state level was where I would have the power to address the issues I am concerned about for rural dwellers."
 
The "writing on the wall," according to Koether, is that rural economies in northeast Iowa and the rest of the state will decline in economic vigor and influence unless the politicians in the state legislature come up with fresh solutions.
