Black Hills Energy says it will give its Iowa customers the $2.43 million benefit of the low federal tax rate it received because of the recent federal tax cut legislation.
The average residential customer is expected to see a $12.37 per year benefit on their energy bills. The details were worked out by Black Hills and the Iowa Utilities Board. The savings are calculated based on customer type and usage, so the actual benefits received will vary by customer and continue each year until the next rate adjustment.
