Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office warns of recent phone scams

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office has seen an increase in scams. The recent scammers are wanting to "fix" computers for a small fee and as time passes the fees drastically increase. The other popular scam is "winning" a large amount of money but before you are able to claim the winnings the scammers want iTunes gift cards for payment. We remind you NOT to give out personal information or bank information over the phone or internet.
