Monday evening traffic accident causes $5,500 in damages

No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening around 5:30 at County Road V-68 and Highway 24 in Fort Atkinson.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Kyle Balik of Fort Atkinson was stopped at the intersection.  Balik pulled into traffic and collided with a car driven by 55-year-old Cue Liddle of New Hampton.  Balik was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way.  No ambulance transport was needed.
