This is one record Decorah residents probably won't mind not setting. The latest Decorah has ever recorded a springtime high of 60 degrees or more was April 26th in 1951, according to Decorah meteorologist Richard Bernatz.
This April could still be the coldest April on record, but that depends on the next week's temperatures.
The National Weather Service La Crosse Office is predicting sunny skies and a high near 63 on Monday. Tuesday's predicted high is also 63, although the forecast also includes a prediction of a 20 percent chance of rain after 1:00 p.m. Temperatures will cool starting Wednesday, but still stay in the 50s.
