Winneshiek Medical Center volunteers recognized

Winneshiek Medical Center has over 125 active volunteers, including hospital volunteers, members of the Auxiliary Board, Foundation Board and Board of Trustees.  They handle tasks such as working at the information desk, hospice, Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP), Auxiliary Gift Shop, and organizing special events.  Additionally, volunteers provide hand-crafted items for patients, help with mailings, share their gardening talents and provide for other needs, as requested. 

Of those 125 volunteers, six have been recognized for spending more than 1,000 hours volunteering.  Dave Sweet, Marian Rovang-Rude and Arlene Dougherty have reached the 1,000 hours mark;  Bev Nichols has volunteered for 2,500 hours; Bev Christen has 3,500 hours of volunteering and Anna Mae Kuhn has over 4,500 hours.

Also honored recently were Marilyn Sensor, Ann Naslund, Sue Best and Pat Courtney for reaching 100 hours;  and Ellen Sauer, Carol Baker, Kate Hovden and DiAnn Svenson for reaching 500 hours.
