The Decorah Police Department reports two vehicles were involved in an early morning traffic accident Thursday morning shortly before 6:00 a.m.

61-year-old Leonard Panos of Decorah was driving a dump truck and was in the process of snow removal in the left lane of West Water Street heading north. Meanwhile, 24-year-old Jacinda Barth of Ridgeway was also traveling north on West Water Street and attempted to pass Panos on the right side. Panos reports he did not see Barth attempting to pass when he started to change lanes to make a right turn onto Mill Street.

Barth's 2014 Chevrolet Malibu suffered an estimated $2,500 of damage, and Panos' 2013 Western Star dump truck suffered only minor damage to its tire wall. No injuries were reported.
