Supporters of "Vote Yes" May 1st release an on-line video

Several Decorah residents who favor a 'yes' vote on May 1st's referendum have created "What Does a Yes Vote Mean" video that has been posted on-line.

Using a whiteboard-style background with drawings, the video explains the municipalization process, including the role of the Iowa Utilities Board. The video also highlights some of the possible benefits a municipal electric utility could provide to Decorah.

Released on Monday, the video has already received 1,300 views on Facebook. It is also posted on YouTube at https://youtu.be/Qght5_RWkUo).

Says Decorah Power board member Tabita Green, "We hope this video will clear up some of the confusion related to what a 'yes' vote really means.  We're excited about the community's reception of the video and look forward to continuing the conversation."
