Several representatives of Alliant Energy got a chance Tuesday to speak with 50 members of the Decorah Rotary Club about the upcoming May 1st municipal electric utility referendum.

North Region Director of Operations Matt Cole told club members that Alliant is "a proven company with a proven track record."  He said Alliant has paid over $1 million in energy efficiency rebates since 2012 and is working to build more solar energy projects in the state, including possibly in Decorah.

"We want to work with communities," he told the group.

Decorah Rotary Club members next Tuesday will hear from Decorah Power representatives Larry Grimstad and Andy Johnson.
